I'm not familiar with this controller, but on most RAID systems, this would probably mean that the drive is defective or the controller believes the drive is defective. Drivers archos 204. Drives in a RAID are usually held to a higher standard of perfection by the controller than they would be on a standard controller, so it's possible that you could even test the drive on a standard controller and it would pass, yet it will fail in the RAID. Not knowing any more than I do about this controller, I would suggest trying a different drive. Hope this helps!
